RFID & SERVICES

Trackware provides various services in the field of GS1 encoding and RFID programming.

Using RFID tags, we highlight your products and / or assets. Both in existing and in new processes RFID applications can be implemented. RFID tags can be read without contact with hand scanners or fixed scanners. The reading distance is, depending on the application, a few centimeters to several meters.

RFID tags exist in multiple variations: embedded in a sticker,

or potted in a protected casing.

RFID tags and sensors work -in contrast to barcodes- well in varying outdoor weather conditions (high / low temperatures, high / low (air) moisture and / or polluted environment). Temperatures until (momentary) 300 °C  can be resisted.

Because each RFID tag has a unique ID, you can track your products on an individual level through the production process. It is also possible to store a large number of data, such as type, color, customer name and the like, into the RFID-tag.

Unlike barcodes, several RFID tags can be read simultaneously. A box containing 600 different items that are labeled with RFID tags can be scanned in a few seconds. RFIDs are therefore particularly suitable for automatic scanning.

Case study 1: The car factory

A common example is an automotive plant, where each car is made to customer specification (nowadays with dozens of possible variables such as color, interior ...). Whenever the car comes in a new production environment, the RFID tag is read and the correct component is edited.

Case study 2: The textile laundry

A textile laundry processes was from residents of different institutions. During the cleaning process each individuel piece shall be traceable, and it is -after the cleaning process-, with client/resident data collected into the right trolley/container. These containers are placed into the correct truck conformity the optimal logistics sequence.

Providing each piece, each collection bag and each container with an (active) RFID tag, this whole process can be closely controlled and monitored.

RFID tags have been developed specifically for laundry that are resistant to both the chemicals and the high pressures used in the washing and drying process.

With RFID technology it's possible to confirm a single piece into the correct collecting bags into the correct container. It's even possible to monitor the position or where abouts of containers in the factory or if the container is on it's way in a truck to client's residence.

Trackware has extensive experience in the world of RFID in laundry.
